Why I Do This

I know what it's like
because I've been there.

Ten years ago, I rebuilt my life from the ground up. Mentally, emotionally, professionally — you name it and the foundation was broken. Today I help great people like you heal & grow in a similar way — not because they've hit rock bottom, but because they know they're destined for more.

This Is My Story

I know deep pain —
and powerful healing & growth.

I was born to a 17 year-old girl in Amarillo, Texas. Five days later, I was adopted and flown from the plains of the panhandle to the pine curtain of East Texas where I was raised. Lufkin was meant to be my home — and what a beautiful home it was. I had a big brother. Friends at school. Beach vacations. A dream life. And at 11, my Mother was diagnosed with cancer. Four years later, she died. A year after that, so did my relationship with my Father — so I left home for good.

I didn't know at the time, but these experiences ultimately came to shape how I saw myself — which was mostly, scared, alone & not worth keeping around. Subconsciously, I performed & pleased, lied, cheated and stole for attention and validation anywhere I could. But when things would get hard, I'd spiral & crumble in ways that nearly cost me everything.

Eventually, I found myself at Deep Eddy Psychotherapy and I started to learn about myself — how I actually felt, what my thoughts actually were & why my behavior was as destructive and needy as it really was. Over time, not only did I heal — I also fell in love with the process. I found power & freedom in my growing awareness and life changed forever. It was no longer something to just get through and survive, but instead, something to actually enjoy again. Eventually, I started to share what I'd learned with those around me. 10 years later and 100s of clients later, I simply couldn't be more grateful that this is actually my life's story.
